Welcome to my Web site!I was born November 29, 1978, in San Jose, California. I grew up in Santa Clara, attending Scott Lane Elementary and Buchser Middle schools before moving to Woodstock, Georgia, in 1992. Graduating from Etowah High School in 1996, I received my 2-year degree from Reinhardt College in 1998 and completed my 4-year teaching degree, after much trouble in finding the courses I needed, in broad-field science from Kennesaw State University in 2002. After graduation, I taught at Sequoyah High School for the 02-03 year, receiving my Gifted In-Field endorsement (meaning I can teach gifted students) and beginning my Master's degree in 2003. I completed the degree in the summer of 2004. The 03-04 year was spent focused on my Master's degree, and I returned to the classroom at Rockdale County High School in 2004. The new job also resulted in my relocation to Conyers, Georgia. I have been there (here) since, teaching Physical Science, Chemistry, and Physics. I was Department Head during the 2006-07 year. The 2007-08 year involves my teaching of all three above-mentioned classes on extended day and working on graduation test prep materials for more than half the school, while also being involved in textbook selections for the next adoption. The 08-09 year will see me teaching Physics and Chemistry and co-heading the department. In December '07, I moved to Porterdale Mill. I live in a huge open-floorplan loft (over 1200 square feet) right on Main Street. Want to see my loft (unfurnished)? If you're interested in my interests, check out that page. |
