Photo Gallery: Georgia Renaissance Festival 2006
The festival is full of fun shows, plenty to eat, and lots of rides for
the kids. It's an excuse for girls to dress up in corsets, so most of the
costumes I saw (and you'll see below) involve women wearing corsets. There's
a good bit of shopping, if you're interested in clothing and trinkets of
this nature. And of course, there's plenty of interesting foods like turkey
legs, milks, and beers. If you go to any renaissance festival, I'd recommend
you plan your day around shows. Jousting should be your top priority if you
want to see it; stunt
shows, comedy shows, music performances, and storytelling shows happen more
frequently. And plan time for rides for the kids and plenty of rest if
you're going on a hot day.
