Photo Gallery: Grayson Stadium

Grayson Stadium originally opened as Municipal Stadium in the 1920s. After a hurricane in 1940, it was rebuilt and named Grayson Stadium. Due to World War II, it wasn't actually finished and you can actually see (or could - maybe you can't anymore) where it wasn't completed. Due to its setup as a football and baseball field originally, it has a really short left field wall - 290 feet - and bleachers in the outfield (no longer used). The press box and many aspects of the grandstand used to be red, but have since been painted a more mellow forest green. Unfortunately for fans, there is a large amount of netting and fencing in front of the seats (most likely to protect against foul balls) which creates a visual obstruction for most seats.

Since there are plans for remodeling starting this year (2007), the pictures below may be the last of certain areas.
