Photo Gallery: Woodstock Depot

The depot doesn't exactly stand out as an architectural great, as it is very purpose-built. For information on its history, see the Cherokee County Historical Society website and see the railga.com site for a few pictures of the depot before the surrounding trees were removed and a few changes were made. Most visibly, in the fourth photo, you can see the large HVAC unit added sometime in the past five years, and the station has a true platform now (in 2001 it had just a floor surface). With the addition of the platform, an overhang has been added to offer more protection from the rain (seen below the original roof surface). A good bit of landscaping has been done, and it appears that the building is being re-sided.
